Touching a PINK DOLPHIN at the aquarium in Singapore. As they age, they grow more and more PINK!
(Of course, you know that this is really not a chance to touch a pink dolphin but a chance to take a picture with a dolphin. Once the photographer takes his shot, you’re rushed over to the side, and it’s over. I understand why they do it this way, but it’s so disappointing for my animal loving child. She could care less about the photo. She wants to experience the animal!)
We’ll be doing a dolphin lapbook this week, and this picture will be featured on the cover!

The Merlion, the symbol of Singapore

We discovered slurpees — Singapore has 7-11′s everywhere!

In Little India — DH trying on some fun shoes.

In the National Library’s Children’s Section. Oh, it was wonderful! We spent HOURS and HOURS enjoying the English books in the library!
I thought this image was fascinating — Muslim girls in their school uniforms reading fashion magazines. What a contrast.
They very kindly allowed me to take their picture.

Also in Little India, eating lunch. The food is served on a leaf. Traditionally the Indians eat with their hands. We saw many people eating that way. But the restaurant owner gave us forks.

We had the opportunity to enjoy several museums. This exhibit was FREE! Very nice. DD didn’t seem to grasp the value of the jewlery we were looking at. She would say things like, “I’d like one of those.” LOL!
Yeah, sweetie, wouldn’t we all?
The least expensive piece was probably in the hundreds of thousands of dollars price range. Many were priceless because of their historical value. The guards were really watchful. If your finger grazed the glass case, they came over to ask you to move away.
