Oh, my sweet DD! She is such a TCK — that means Third Culture Kid.
In Thailand one evening riding in an elevator, DD asked me, “What is one Mississippi, two Mississippi, three Mississippi? There is only ONE Mississippi! But my teacher keeps saying one Mississippi, two Mississippi.”
LOL! Well, at least she does know that there is only ONE Mississippi! When you try to emphasize American geography while living in Asia, that’s reassuring.
