Crazy English in a Bookstore

I was looking for books to destroy. Yes, I was searching for books with colorful pictures just to cut up and use for lapbooks. Books in China are very cheap! For $1 or $2 I can get nice, full- color books (in Chinese, of course). With printer ink being so expensive, I decided that buying a book for pictures would be cheaper than printing them out from the Internet.

So as I’m shopping, I see these signs:

Right.  I’m wondering, “What are all the other thousands of books in this store for?”
Hmmm…. maybe they got word of my book destruction idea and are warning me that these books are for reading, not cutting up.

And for those who are SERIOUS about their partying:

I never had to do advance reading assignments for a party, but this is a different culture…

:-)   This means THE party. You know, the ruling party here in Red China. Even though I know what it means, it still made me laugh!
