I’ve been collecting pictures, websites, and clip art about China for a long time, but the trip to Xian made it all so real to DD. The time had come for a lapbook on Ancient China! We’d just finished all the history in Sonlight Core 2, so we studied Ancient China for two weeks as our history.

The book that is open is about the Silk Road and the production of silk. I found this great printable about making silk!

I have posted more detailed photos of the lapbook at Flickr.

I have also uploaded to HSLaunch some of the mini-books that we made –

These are PDF templates that you can print or save. I couldn’t find graphics that I liked, so I made my own drawings!

Remember, you don’t have to make an entire lapbook to use mini-books. A mini-book can stand alone as its own project.
