My latest Chinglish finds for you!
But first, click over here to my friend Beth’s blog. Her picture takes the cake or maybe I should say “takes the intestine.” Really. Go see. It’s SO worth the click. And tell her I said hi.

This is my favorite. This is an response vehicle for a gas problem — for example, a leak. The last bit there is totally random. I have no idea where it comes from. A Chinese friend and I tried and tried to make sense of it. We never did. It’s just crazy English.

Found on the bus.
In Chinese, the term cashier counter is literally “receive silver counter.” (The L has fallen off the sign.) Wonder what they’d do if I plunked down some silver jewelry to pay for a pair of shoes.
Our gym gave us shopping bags in honor of the Olympics.
My husband asked why the bags didn’t have anything related to the Olympics on them. The poor girl just stared at us. The question made no sense to her. He thanked her for the very useful (and entertaining) bags.
At home, we cracked up over Princess Dung!
