During Spring Festival (Chinese New Year), people love to bring newly budding flowers, especially fragrant ones, into their homes. All over our city, I’ve seen people buying and selling these winter blooming branches. They smell heavenly.
I think it’s a wonderful tradition. Seeing and smelling such flowers is a wonderful reminder that winter doesn’t last forever. Spring will eventually come again.
