In history, we’re studying Western Expansion and the lives of the pioneers. One of the suggested crafts in our curriculum was to make a shadow puppet theater and puppets. (Thank goodness we had a cereal box to use!) Visit Shadow Box Puppet Show to see more photos and specific how-tos.
In the bright daylight, I had a hard time convincing her that it would work. But once I drew the curtains and shone a lamp towards the puppet theater, she was able to see the wonderfully clear results!
Just like the pioneers, we whiled away the time watching the silly shows we improvised.
