It's been over two weeks that our bathroom is in this state of disaster. We are starting to get anxious, especially because it's FIXED. We just need someone to install the tile, toilet, and shower. One day's work and DONE. We spoke to the landlord today. She said two or three more weeks!! WHAT? She agreed to come tomorrow to look at the situation.

Actually it IS dry now. And I was asked to pour water all over the floor to make sure that the plumbing works. That makes no sense to me whatsoever because we're not supposed to let water go down the pipes. The plumber told me to do it and I gave him a blank look. He said, "You don't understand?" (as in language) I replied, "I understand what you mean, but I don't understand WHY you want me to do that. It's not logical." He tried to explain again, but I just don't get it. What do I know? I'm not a plumber. So I did what he told me to do.

Wow, 2 weeks? That is quite a difference from 2 days. So I guess that means they didn't use the quick dry concrete, eh?

Yipes! I think I would have to hook up fans or something to speed it along. We Americans are in such a rush aren't we. I am glad that you have another bathroom while you wait.
Blessings,
Dawn

:-) Thanks, Sarah. Actually, it's not that bad. I mean, although it is inconvenient, we do have another bathroom. I guess we are so often without water altogether that this seems minor in comparison. And once our bathroom is back together, it will feel like a supreme luxury!

Oh, I'm sure this is a total exercise in frustration for you, but this post made me laugh! Is it as good as watching paint dry? We had a wall replastered last year and bizarrely it was actually quite interesting to watch it dry - well, pop in every few hours to see the new pattern that was developing.
God bless you!
