And the way your husband handled it is awesome too. Sending her to the Bible to find the answers not only teaches her how to discover truth on her own but it also make the truth hers. If he would have just told her the answers, the truth would still be his truth not hers. I hope that made sense. I just saw Josh McDowell recently and he spoke on that very way of teaching kids truth. I loved all the wonderful questions my kids had while growing up, and the terrific conversations that ensued. How blessed our children are to be homeschooled, and how blessed we are to be there for them! PS My kids often wrote notes, too....I still have a lot of them and they bring back the best memories. In fact...God says, "BRING IT ON"." (I have to speak like a boy sometimes, haha) I love that God doesn't need us to even soften the truth. Truth resonates on our souls.
