The Messy Repair Job

by Jimmie on July 13, 2009

Here are the remaining repair job photos. My SD card reader was broken, but I assumed it was a problem with my computer. While trying to fit the SD card into the card reader, I cracked the case of the card! So I ended up having to replace both the card and the reader. But the kind guys at the computer center helped me save these photos from the old memory card. You can imagine their confused expressions that I wanted to keep photos of concrete and bath tile.

It got really, really messy before it got better! And you know how curious kitties are. We had concrete footprints all through the house at one point!

The landlord personally chose the new tile, so I hope she won’t be angry when she sees that the bathroom floor is now two-tone.  Maybe she expected the workers to replace the entire floor rather than just the missing pieces? There are also unsightly gaps of dark concrete between some tiles. It was a really bad job. But again, the landlord hired these men. So fortunately we don’t bear any responsibility for the poor workmanship.

I actually missed the days when the toilet and shower were re-installed because I was in another city picking up Sprite from summer camp. What a nice surprise to come home and find the bathroom back to normal! My helper had already cleaned up after the workers and my husband had cleaned the fan they used which was caked with concrete dust.  So all I had to do was reorganize the bathroom cabinet and such. Ahh… back to normal.

Well, I am glad that the bathroom problem is finally all fixed up. Can I ask where Sprite went to camp?

I’m seeing a big bright washable rug perched on that new floor to camaflauge the tiles?
It’s the little things isn’t it?
