We had a great Charlotte Mason Carnival, but I want you to know that we also had 40 spam submissions! These articles ranged from slightly off topic to plain odd. I’m not going to give the spammers the joy of linking to their articles, but here are the titles for your amusement.
There was one that almost made it. At least it was a homeschooling post. But, too bad, it wasn’t Charlotte Mason.
- 50 Eye-Opening Unschooling Blogs
We had some that were at least related to learning in some way. But again, no dice. Not Charlotte Mason by any stretch of the imagination.
- 100 Most Educational iPhone Apps
- 100 Essential Web 2.0 Tools for Teachers
- How to Use Open Courseware to Learn Anything?
- 100 Best Back-to-School Hacks
- 7 Tips to Improve Your Memory and Study Power
- 7 Open Courseware Journalism Classes Everyone Should Read
- 100 Tips & Tools to Help You Pick the Right Major
- The 5 Oldest schools in the world
- 10 Tips to Improve Your Memory
And then there the entries that made me wonder what planet the spammer was on. Did he or she really expect me to link to these topics from a Charlotte Mason homeschooling carnival?

- 25 Surprising Facts About China’s Education System
- Top 10 Most Famous Professors in History

- 10 Sites to Help You Learn About Any Type of Medication
- 7 Tips to Eat Healthier on the Cheap
- 7 Web Sites Every Digital Learner Should Know
- 7 Tips to Make Sure Your Organic Food is Really Organic
- nurses assistant courses (Yes, this is how it was NOT capitalized.)
- online christian college degrees
- 100 Excellent Open Courses on Green Technology, Development, and Design
- Top 10 College Scandals of All Time
- 5 Medical Careers That Pay More Than You Think
- 5 Facts You May Not Know About the Pharmaceutical Industry

Isn’t that insane? But you’ve got to give them credit for writing catchy headlines. See any trends there? They’ve used some time tested prescriptions for writing good titles. Maybe they should start their own Carnival of Spam with Catchy Titles.
