I really appreciate your thoughtful reviews, Jimmie. I have a difficult time putting into words what I don't like about certain books. When I read, I seem to absorb the gist of things more than the details. I would make a terrible debater! .-= Marsha´s last blog ..Serenade at a price =-.

Wonderful review, and I especially like Lee’s comment. I’ve heard many o’ sermon that does the same thing: makes a point and tries to justify it by using Scripture, rather than teaching Scripture in context and studying it.
That said, I’ve enjoyed some of Townsend and Cloud in the past.
Do a review on Philip Yancey next!

I agree with you wholeheartedly Jimmie. I have read some of Dr Jay E Adams' books and am all for nouthetic counselling. I agree with Lee above too. .-= D´s last blog .. =-.
