Jellyfish doesn&#039;t taste like octopus at all, the &quot;hat&quot; is crunchy and the tentacles are softer, normally used in salads and eatea cold. The more you cook the more it shrink and rubbery.

		<description>I think as long as I didn&#039;t know what I was eating, I&#039;d probably do just fine... :)  jellyfish doesn&#039;t sound nice to me though.  I never was a big seafood fan, and would only do certain fish and chips until coming to Peru where they make very yummy fish dishes... I even like ceviche now (raw fish cured in lemon/onion).

I remember fights breaking out over the fish eyes in my household! LOL

I would try the jellyfish. I&#039;ve never had jellyfish. I love sea food and I love sea urchin. What does Jellyfish taste like? What can you compare it too? Is it as chewy as octopus?

I never disliked seafood before coming to Japan (or what passes for it sometimes in the US!), but living here has opened my eyes to the almost endless and delicious was to prepare it.  There is just no substitute for really fresh seafood.

		<description>Well, in my two weeks in Guangzhou, helping my friend pick up her daughter, I did eat swan, though when the ladle in the soup toureen pulled up a tiny whole octopus, I did put it back and dug around some more for something else! 

If I were at that spread, I&#039;d follow my nose and give it a try if I were choosing food myself, if I were  a guest of someone, I&#039;d do the prayer - Lord, I&#039;ll get it down if you keep it down.

Here in New England, you can get lovely sea food, though usually it&#039;s breaded and fried.</description>

		<description>I like most seafood (except lobster), and I&#039;m not a picky eater at all, but unless I were ignorant of the ingredients, I&#039;d have to pass on the jellyfish. (Even if it were smothered in cilantro which I love.) I used to eat seaweed salad all the time when we lived down the street from a Thai restaurant. You&#039;re definitely spoiled, Jimmie!
