Bravo!

Sprite was praising an entry in the Chinese New Year contest and said in her enthusiasm, “I want to give them a standing O’Ryan!”

“What?”

“A standing O’Ryan!”

Because I had a puzzled look on my face, Sprite showed me what she meant by standing up and clapping wildly.

“Oh! A standing OVATION.”

She’s almost eleven, and the humor is still coming! I love it.

How sweet! My youngest once heard “en core” and thought the cheering crowd were saying “Want more”! I think she also found the gist of the word’s meaning!

I would love to crash your class too, but sadly, the distance is prohibitive.
