Welcome to the Hands-on Homeschool Carnival!

It’s spring for us, and our hands have been spending a lot of time exploring nature at the river.

There are dozens of great entries this time. But if you missed the cut off for this one, just submit your entry for the next carnival. And here we go….

Hands-on Crafts and Art Ideas

Angie lists loads of hands-on outdoor fun, especially suitable for her two boys, such as knot tying, soap carving, and fort building in Handicraft/Life Skills Challenge #8 at TheOneThing.

Mandy shares how she organizes and manages her art and craft supplies posted at living peacefully with children.

Terry Holliday presents Practice Contour Drawing posted at Art For Homeschool. If you’re wanting to add more art instruction to your homeschool schedule, you really should subscribe to Terry’s blog. She is going to host contests and post lots of instructional helps.

Clemencia did a marbleizing (painting) craft to learn the Letter M posted at Storytime and more.

Hands-on Science Ideas

Kris presents The Basic Steps posted at A Private Eye Nature, her new blog for nature study tips. Enhance and extend nature studies using a loupe and some imagination!

Tiffany explores nature over at Natural Family Living Blog in her post  Natural Play for Teaching Science.

Where else could sugar crystals, ice cream, and a BB gun all fit into one post? Only at Sarah in the woods’ blog post –Pluto and the Kuiper Belt over at The Forest Room.  I am constantly amazed at how hands-on her homeschool is. Wonderful learning opportunities for her little ones!

Hands-on History & Geography Ideas

Jill Miles, who blogs at History for Children, submitted History for Children: King of the Wind. If your child is a horse fanatic, she will love making her own “Origins of Horse Breeds” poster. All she needs is poster board, colored pencils, glue, scissors and the FREE template from the post. It’s a geography lesson in disguise!

~Kris~ who you all know from Weird, Unsocialized Homeschoolers,  has submitted Adding Spark to Your Homeschool Through Hands-on Learning: History. I love the  photo of her three children in medieval costume.

Dawn shares her Medieval Party. Looks really fun!

Shannon presents Hands-on History Fun posted at The Curriculum Choice.

Amy Bowen presents Hands on geography at Eclectic Homeschooling.

Hands-on Math Ideas

Heather tells us how to Make a Geoboard at her frugal blog Dollar Store Crafts.

Denise shares Game: Target Number (or 24) over at Let’s play math!.

Amy Bowen presents Laundry Math at Eclectic Homeschooling.

Hands-on Technology & Travel Ideas

Denise presents Week 7, continued: Introduction to HTML posted at Blogging 2 Learn. Reading, writing, and commenting on blogs is hands-on language arts—but a little HTML comes in handy, too.

Pamela shares her resolution to fight restlessness with more excursions in her own local area. The photos for this post are really cute. Is that David I see in that car? I can’t imagine taking a trip with him! Go see at Our Many, Mini-Adventures Quest posted at Blah, Blah, Blog.
