Essay Tune Up eBook
My latest eBook, Essay Tune Up, is a 40+ page PDF with tips for teaching essay writing to students in grades 4 and up. It includes 13 original printables that you can use with your children. And you can get it for free during the month of July. Consider it my summer gift to you!
If you enjoyed my last 10 Days of Teaching Writing series in April, you will want to download your free copy. All you need to do is become a fan of Jimmie’s Collage on Facebook. On August 1 the eBook will no longer be free, so go snag it right now.
Already a fan? Great! Just go to Only for Likers and access your free Essay Tune Up.
(Not on Facebook? I’m sorry. I totally understand. It’s not my favorite social network by far. The eBook is also for sale for $5.00.)
Cash Giveaway
I have also partnered up with some of my favorite homeschool bloggers and sites to offer you a chance at a $500 cash prize.
One very blessed person will receive $500 via Paypal. That’s a lot of money that you can use to buy homeschool curriculum, gas up the van, or buy groceries. I sincerely hope that one of my readers wins.

Hi and welcome! I'm Jimmie and this is my online collage of our Charlotte Mason homeschool. Taking just a little more time to document our learning shortens the learning curve for other busy homeschool moms.

I would love to win the $500 giveaway! It would go such a long way to helping with curricula and books for this year’s homeschool journey! Thanks!

I would buy some gas (I drive an Excursion) and get some items for school. Thanks for the opportunity to enter!
I would use it to buy Kindles and books for my kids to add to our resources and make homeschooling on the go be easier and because my reluctant reader is a techno kid and might just read more if it was on a device!
Books of course… and a few painting supplies as well. My little girl loves to paint and goes through a lot!
Jimmie, I “liked” you on facebook and am excited to see your new ebook! My girls are 5th and 4th grade starting this year and I am struggling with teaching writing!! Perfect timing!
As for the money…well, right now I am pondering ways to save so that we can take our kids on their first mission trip to another country…and this would be a great start!!

Curriculum and books! And school supplies and books! lol. Thank You for this great opportunity!
Easy, I’d use the $ for curriculum needs.
We’d pay debt down, for sure!! Ready to be debt free!
The $500 would help me get the school room in our house redone and some much needed bookshelves. Thanks.
I could really use homeschool supplies, art supplies, books, and curriculum!
Oh wow! I think I might put the money aside for those special supplies and books that come along that I always wish I had extra money for!
I would use the money towards museum memberships and save the rest for a rainy day. Thanks for the giveaway!
I think we’d use if for curriculum. How fun to have some money to buy “just for fun” things to add interest to our school days.
Since I’ve already purchased almost all my curriculum for the year, I would probably save it for Christmas. Thanks!
Would love to use the $500 on my remaining curriculum purchases and the rest would go to our field trip fund.
I would buy some new running shoes and pay off some medical bills.
Paula recently posted Homeschool Curriculum 2012-2013.
i would buy books for school and my self. and some knitting things that i’ve wanted.
Id put it in our adoption fund
I would love to win this. What would I do with $500? Buy all those hands on supplies that are so important for a kinesthetic learner, and some engineering kits that are so spendy, and then some new shelves to keep them all organized!
EmmaNadine recently posted Bad idea.
I would love to win…buy more school supplies!
I would buy our curriculum for the upcoming school year and put anything additional into our “field trip and extra classes” account
Thank you for this opportunity!

Oh I would so use it for our travel expenses as we have a daughter going to school and my husband working on one coast and the rest of us living (with pouty faces) on the other coast.
I would keep it in my PayPal, and use it for our needed books and supplies for the coming years! My PayPal account is FOR SCHOOL ONLY, so with that extra money being in there, it would also allow us extra for some fun field trips!
Thanks for being so thoughtful of other homeschoolers!

Wow, Jimmie! You guys are giving away $500? That’s incredible! I don’t know what I’d do with it, I’d have to put some serious thought into it. Book shopping? Give a chunk to Mr. Visa? Something.

I would start by purchasing the Teaching Textbooks that 2 of my children need, then move on to Growing with Grammar for 3 of them. With the little left after that I might just splurge for something fun for the kids!

I’d probably use the winnings to transition over to an almost complete Charlotte Mason curriculum!!
