Curriculum Giveaways

by Jimmie Lanley on September 27, 2012

My blog sponsors are not just advertisers to me. They are homeschool parents, writers, and small business owners. I respect them deeply and because I actually use their curriculum, I am proud to promote their products beyond the button in my blog sidebar.

I have mentioned them before, but here is another shout out to three fine companies. Plus each of these companies has agreed to give away two prizes! So that makes a double triple curriculum giveaway with six different chances to win.

1. Heritage History

Living books, classics, public domain, pre-politically correct era. Am I speaking your language?

How about eReaders: Kindle or iPad? Heritage History takes the best books of the past and makes them accessible to modern readers with modern technology. Their curriculum resources provide an easy to follow outline for charting your own course through a living books history. This material suits me to a tee. You can read more about Heritage History here, here, and here.

We are using British Middle Ages this semester. We select books from the dozens outlined in the timeline. We read. We narrate. The simplicity of a Charlotte Mason education is such a freeing thing.

Special offer for Jimmie’s Collage readers through October 31:
Use code jimmiescollage for a $19.99 discount when you buy any curriculum CD Library plus Spanish Empire library.

Heritage History Giveaway:  Two winners can each choose one CD, either a library or curriculum.

2. Harmony Fine Arts

Artist and composer study, fully planned. Fully–including links to art and lists of specific works of music.

Harmony Fine Arts is essentially an open and go fine arts curriculum. If you love planning your own, go ahead. If you need or want help, invest in Barb’s curriculum.

We are using the grade 7 plans this year. Read more about Harmony Fine Arts here and here.

Harmony Fine Arts Giveaway:  Two winners can each choose one curriculum (eBook version).

3. Fortunately for You Books

Grammar By the Book is a whole language approach to grammar, using whatever real literature that you are reading. I love this approach and use it often. Instead of studying grammar as a separate subject, I prefer to incorporate it into other topics and do it on the fly, avoiding dull workbooks. When a grammar question arises, we study it in a quick mini lesson.

Fortunately For You Books Giveaway: Two winners will receive a copy of Grammar by the Book (eBook).

Definitely the Heritage History! All look interesting but this one stands out to me.

Well, grammar is my strong-suit and history is my husband’s. So, those items would certainly enhance those areas for us! But the Harmony Fine Arts resources really have my ear sparked. I am also a music teacher, but I’m not well-versed in art. So I know that’s where I’ll have to bump up my resources!

I like all three prizes, but my favorite to win would be Harmony Fine Arts!

Heritage History would be tops for me since I struggle in the history area.

Reply

Lara Plocha September 27, 2012 at 3:34 pm

That’s tricky because all three are on my tick list to integrate into our CM based learning. Harmony Fine Arts though is first on the list!
